TAMPA, Fla. – A 26-year-old woman from Zephyrhills tragically lost her life in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 275 Monday afternoon. The incident occurred around 12:49 PM near Waters Avenue.
According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Kia Sportage southbound on I-275 when she lost control of the vehicle for reasons yet to be determined.
The SUV veered off the roadway and onto the outside shoulder, where it collided with an abandoned Dodge Dart parked along the highway.

The impact of the collision propelled the abandoned vehicle across the interstate, ultimately coming to rest on the inside shoulder.
The Kia Sportage, meanwhile, overturned and came to a stop on the outside shoulder.
Emergency responders rushed the driver of the Kia to a local hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
