ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – The Pasco Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of the victim in Thursday night’s fatal shooting in Zephyrhills, hoping it will lead to new information in the case.
The victim, identified as Thomas Cook, 55, was found unresponsive in the roadway near the intersection of Stillman Street and Calvin Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on February 13th. A blue motorized electric wheelchair scooter belonging to Cook was also found at the scene.

Cook’s family has waived their Marsy’s Law protections, allowing the Sheriff’s Office to release his information to the public in hopes of generating leads in the investigation.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

PREVIOUS REPORT: The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Thursday night in Zephyrhills.
Deputies responded to the area of Stillman Street and Calvin Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on February 13th after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim lying unresponsive in the roadway.
A motorized electric wheelchair scooter, believed to belong to the victim, was also found at the scene.

Detectives are currently working to gather information and identify any potential suspects.
