PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with an SUV on Blanton Road Saturday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10:00 AM near the I-75 overpass.
A Jeep Renegade, driven by a 37-year-old man from Fort Myers, was traveling westbound on Blanton Road and attempted to make a U-turn. The Jeep turned into the path of an oncoming Yamaha motorcycle, operated by a 34-year-old man from Zephyrhills.

The motorcycle collided with the SUV, and the rider was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the SUV and any passengers in the vehicle were uninjured.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
