Zephyrhills Man Struck And Killed On Electric Bicycle After Running Stop Sign On Trilby Road

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A Zephyrhills man has died after a crash that happened on Sunday at around 11:07 am.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, an electric bicycle operated by an 83-year-old Zephyrhills man was traveling northbound on the Withlacoochee State Trial.

Troopers say at the intersection of Trilby Road, the rider failed to stop for a posted stop sign on the bike trail and collided with the front right portion of a Honda Odyssey driven by a 20-year-old Dade City woman.

The man was transported to an area hospital and later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
