Zephyrhills Man Arrested For Damaging State Senator’s Office

ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – A 30-year-old Zephyrhills man has been arrested for criminal mischief after causing property damage to the district office of Florida State Senator Danny Burgess.

Chase Jacob Swinson was arrested by the Zephyrhills Police Department on March 24, 2025, following an investigation into an incident that occurred at the senator’s office, located at 38507 5th Avenue.

Officers responded to a report of damaged property at the senator’s office on March 21, 2025. Upon arrival, they observed visible damage to the building. After further investigation, Swinson was identified as the suspect.

Swinson cooperated with investigators and was taken into custody without incident at the Zephyrhills Police Department. He has been charged with Criminal Mischief, a third-degree felony, due to a prior conviction.

Senator Burgess and his staff were not present at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Swinson was subsequently transported to the Pasco County Jail.
