ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – A 40-year-old Zephyrhills man tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle on Chancey Road on Monday, August 26, 2024.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 10:02 AM, just west of Zephyr Preserve Place. The bicyclist was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane of Chancey Road when he collided with a Chevy Silverado driven by a 29-year-old Zephyrhills man.

The bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he sadly succumbed to his injuries at 7:00 PM that evening. The driver of the Silverado was uninjured in the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
