PSO’s K9s can make short work of cases that have the potential to take a long time, according to Pasco County Sheriff.
On Monday night, K-9 Maus and his handler were in the Hudson area when they spotted a car that fled from a traffic stop earlier in the night.
Once the driver of the car saw K-9 Maus and his handler’s patrol car, the driver decided to drive at the K-9 team.
K-9 Maus’s handler was able to avoid being hit and pursued the car.
After the driver lost control of the car, he ran. K-9 Maus wasn’t far behind and quickly caught the suspect, less than a minute after the suspect ran from his car.
“Instead of spending time searching for the suspect in the woods in the dark with many deputies involved, K9 Maus helped our deputies quickly find the suspect. This gets our patrol deputies back on the road and on to the next call faster,” said Pasco Sheriff’s Office in a statement.
