ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – At 7:19 a.m. St. Petersburg Police officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at 22nd Avenue South and Grove Street South.
The pedestrian, an adult female in her late 50s, was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating.
“All of 22nd Avenue South is shut down between 7th and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr South. We ask the drivers seek an alternate route,” said SPPD.
