SEFFNER, Fla. – Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Detectives are conducting a death investigation after a train collided with a woman sitting on train tracks in Seffner.
According to investigators, on Thursday at approximately 11:20 a.m., the HCSO Communications Center got a 911 call about a person hit by a train near the intersection of South Parsons Ave., just south of West Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.
When deputies arrived, they found a woman deceased with what appeared to be injuries related to a train crash. HCSO detectives are working with CSX investigators and do not believe there to be any signs of foul play.

“It’s heartbreaking to hear another person has lost their life on the tracks,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “While our detectives continue to investigate, please remember to practice safety when you are near and around a train or our county railroads.”
