Police responded to reports of gunfire around 3:45 PM and found Olson with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts by bystanders and medical personnel, she was pronounced dead at UNC Health Southeastern.

Investigators believe the suspects, 17-year-old Ezekiel Burden and 18-year-old Brian Campbell, both of Lumberton, were targeting two individuals they knew who were standing near the bank. Olson was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire.

Campbell surrendered to authorities on Monday night and is currently being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a $1 million bond. He is charged with accessory after the fact.

Multiple agencies are assisting in the investigation, including the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the ATF.
