TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police are investigating a crash that left a woman with serious injuries Monday night. The incident occurred around 10:00 PM on East Hillsborough Avenue near North 17th Street.
According to investigators, an adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The woman was transported to Tampa General Hospital with significant injuries. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

Westbound lanes of East Hillsborough Avenue at North 17th Street are currently closed due to the ongoing investigation. The closure is expected to last for several hours, and drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.
