Liberals still want to pretend, or pretend to pretend, that the “Great Replacement Theory” isn’t real or happening, even when it plays out right in front of them.
That includes the Democratic leader in the U.S. Senate arguing that America needs open borders and amnesty for illegal immigrants because Americans aren’t “reproducing” enough, as well as the dismissal of the top election official in left-wing San Francisco getting booted to advance “racial equity.”
As reported by the website SFist.com, John Arntz, director of San Francisco’s Department of Elections, this week saw the Elections Commission reject a renewal of his contract.
Arntz, who is white, was fired, despite a 20-year track record of what SFist.com described as “flawless and scandal-free performance,” so the commission could implement a “racial equity plan.”

Another publication, Mission Local, said the commission’s action was a “move that shocked San Francisco political observers.” The website noted that the commission’s 4-2 vote to drop Arntz came over the objection of a dozen senior managers who work for him.
Mission Local quoted an email that commission President Chris Jerdonek reportedly sent to Arntz: “Our decision wasn’t about your performance, but after twenty years we wanted to take action on the City’s racial equity plan and give people an opportunity to compete for a leadership position.”
Technically, Arntz was not fired. The city opted to not renew his contract and conduct a national search for a new supervisor.
Yet it seems impossible that the commission would hire the same white guy, or even consider him, when the goal is to implement a racial equity plan.
The local media noted that even prominent, woke left-wing Democrats are shocked that Arntz was unceremoniously dumped even though no one in the city was complaining about the integrity or quality of San Fran’s elections.
Mayor London Breed, who takes a back seat to no one on wokeness, told the San Francisco Chronicle that Arntz’s firing was an “unfair politicization of a key part of our government that is working well for the voters of this city.”
City Supervisor Aaron Peskin told Mission Local, “This is (election) commission malfeasance. This is demoralizing and humiliating to John and to the staff of the department.”
Yes, but wokeness.
