A Wisconsin man has been sentenced to over 12 years in federal prison for his role in a major drug trafficking operation.
Quo Vadis Lewis, 40, Wausau, was sentenced to 150 months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as possession of firearms as a felon.
Lewis was identified as one of the leaders of a drug trafficking organization operating in Wausau. The organization is believed to have distributed kilogram quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine, bringing the drugs in from out of state, including through the mail.

In 2022, U.S. Postal Inspectors intercepted two packages containing approximately 10 pounds of methamphetamine being shipped from California to Lewis’s apartment. A subsequent search of his residence in 2023 uncovered three handguns, ammunition, cash, and cocaine.
Lewis’s DNA was found on all three firearms, despite being prohibited from possessing them due to prior felony convictions.
At sentencing, Judge Conley highlighted that Lewis played a key role as a leader of a drug trafficking organization involved with “incredible” quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.
Conley determined that a significant sentence for Lewis was necessary to protect the public.

Eight other individuals have also been charged in connection with this drug trafficking organization. Several have already been sentenced or have pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a Department of Justice program focused on reducing violent crime. The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force and the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).
