Winter Haven Woman Turns Herself In After Hit And Run With Police Cruiser

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Tiffany Rodriquez, 44, of Winter Haven, has turned herself into authorities following a hit-and-run incident involving a police cruiser on November 2, 2024.

Investigators used surveillance footage to identify Rodriquez and her white Ford Mustang SUV. The footage showed her parking in downtown Winter Haven around 5:11 p.m. on the night of the crash and visiting several bars before getting back in her vehicle around 8:30 p.m. The crash occurred shortly after at 8:39 p.m. on Cypress Gardens Blvd at 9th St SE.

Rodriquez’s vehicle was later located at a residence in the Lake Dexter area.

When questioned by officers, she admitted to being in the vehicle that night but denied driving at the time of the crash. Although the initial police report suggested a male driver, no witnesses could confirm the driver’s identity.

Despite her claims, Rodriquez was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. She was also issued a citation for leaving the scene of a crash.
