POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Winter Haven resident Crystal Tigner, 45, was arrested on Thursday evening, October 3rd, by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office following a disturbance in Jan Phyl Village.
Deputies were called to St. Paul Drive, where they encountered a man with a ripped shirt who explained the situation. According to the victim, Tigner, known by the nickname “Pie,” had ordered pizza from Hungry Howie’s. When the man informed Tigner that he didn’t have the money to pay for the order, she allegedly grabbed him by the neck, pushed him against a wall, and tore his shirt and pants pockets.

When deputies asked Tigner for identification, she initially provided false information. Upon further investigation, authorities confirmed her identity and discovered she was on probation for grand theft, related to the theft of a fire extinguisher.
Tigner was subsequently arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. She faces charges of battery, providing false identification to law enforcement, and violation of probation.
