WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A 65-year-old Winter Haven man was killed Thursday in a crash that happened around 5:25 am.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Ford Fusion, driven by a 65-year-old Winter Haven man, was traveling southbound on Old Lucerne Park Road.
Troopers say the Winter Haven man turned left at the intersection of Lucerne Park Road into the path of a tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer collided with the left side of the Ford.
Both vehicles rotated to a stop along the south shoulder of the roadway, and the Ford also hit a utility pole.
The man suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash, while the driver of the tractor-trailer, a 60-year-old Hialeah man, was uninjured in the crash.
