WIMAUMA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to a residential structure fire on Huckleberry Road in Wimauma this afternoon.

A 911 call from the homeowner, reporting smoke and flames inside the mobile home, was received at 2:43 p.m. The first HCFR unit arrived on the scene within 12 minutes and found the mobile home engulfed in flames.

Firefighters swiftly established operations and managed to bring the fire under control in under 30 minutes.

While no civilians were injured, one firefighter was transported to a local hospital in stable condition for evaluation.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
