HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A single-vehicle accident on US-41 in Hillsborough County on Friday afternoon resulted in a truck plunging into Bullfrog Creek, but the driver escaped without injury. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 PM on February 21, 2025.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 34-year-old man from Wimauma was driving a single-unit truck northbound on US-41.
While crossing a bridge over Bullfrog Creek, south of Beach Avenue, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck collided with the concrete bridge barriers before entering the waterway.

Despite the dramatic circumstances, the driver was able to successfully extract himself from the submerged truck and suffered no injuries.
