The White House National Security Council (NSC) recently met with Shadi Zaza, CEO of Rahma Worldwide, a group that has collaborated with Hamas in Gaza.

This meeting, which took place on September 11th, has drawn criticism, particularly from Republicans who accuse the Biden administration of associating with anti-Israel activists, according to the Washington Examiner.

The NSC maintains that the meeting focused on countering Syria’s Assad regime and that they were unaware of Zaza’s ties to Hamas. However, social media posts and Arabic news sources reveal a history of collaboration between Zaza’s group and Hamas officials on aid initiatives, even days before the October 2023 attack on Israel.

“We have spoken at length about our condemnation of Hamas and the horrible atrocities they committed on Oct. 7,” an NSC spokesperson told the outlet.

Rahma Worldwide insists it has no political affiliations and focuses solely on humanitarian support. They deny any support for terror-related activities.

However, their collaboration with Hamas officials, including signing agreements and attending events together, raises concerns.

Critics argue that the federal government may be inadvertently subsidizing terror by granting funds to organizations with such ties. Some even suggest that Rahma could face legal repercussions for providing material support to a terrorist organization, regardless of the nature of their collaboration.

The White House has not yet commented on the matter, and the situation remains under scrutiny.
