Reports of tension between former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis are spilling like a wrecked glue truck throughout social media, conservative, and liberal news outlets.

While Taking A Dig At Trump, Elon Says Florida Gov. DeSantis Would Win Easily In 2024

Elon Musk for a second time has pitched Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis as the next president.

The tycoon who owns Tesla and SpaceX said so on Monday while trolling former President Donald Trump.

Musk was offering a retort to Trump, who at a weekend rally in Alaska labeled Musk a “bulls–t artist.”

In his speech, Trump noted that Musk recently said he had never voted for a Republican. “I didn’t know that,” said Trump. “He told me he voted for me. So he’s another bulls–t artist.”

On Monday, Musk replied that Trump’s claim was “not true.”

“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset,” Musk tweeted. “Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency.”

When a Twitter user asked why he knocked Trump, Musk replied, “(T)oo much drama. Do we really want a bull in a china shop situation every single day!? Also, I think the legal maximum age for start of Presidential term should be 69.”

That was another dig, as Trump was approaching 71 when he took office in 2017.

Another Twitter user suggested that he liked a Trump-Desantis GOP ticket in 2024 and DeSantis as the nominee in 2028.

“Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America,” Musk answered.

“If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign.”

Last month, as The Free Press reported, someone asked Musk on social media who he would vote for in 2024. He first said “tbd” (to be determined) then later added simply “DeSantis.

“DeSantis has a better chance of winning,” Musk added.

At a press conference following that, DeSantis told reporters, “I’m focused on 2022, but with Elon Musk what I would say is, you know, I welcome support from African-Americans. What can I say?”

Musk is a native of South Africa.
