TAMPA, Fla.– The westbound I-4 entrance ramp to northbound I-275 will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., starting Sunday, July 28th, through Thursday, August 1st.
The closure is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
Detour: Motorists can continue west on I-4, exit using Exit 45A (Downtown East/West), then follow Orange Avenue south, turn left onto Cass Street, left onto Cass Orange Connector, and finally north to re-enter northbound I-275.

The closure is necessary for overhead bridge work as part of the ongoing Downtown Tampa Interchange improvement project, slated for completion in 2027.
Advanced warning signs and message boards will guide drivers through the detour. Motorists are urged to exercise caution and be aware of construction workers in the area.
