WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – Eastbound SR 54 traffic was shifted overnight to a new roadway alignment on the south side of the highway corridor from east of Curley Road to Lake Crystal Boulevard.
Eastbound and westbound traffic is now divided by a median through this section of SR 54.
Traffic will remain a single lane in each direction until additional construction is completed to enable additional lanes to open in the final configuration of two lanes both eastbound and westbound in late summer/early fall 2023.

With the traffic shift, right turn lanes are open from eastbound SR 54 to Meadow Pointe Boulevard and Foxwood Boulevard, along with a right turn lane from Meadow Pointe Blvd. onto eastbound SR 54.
The traffic switch eliminated left turns from/to SR 54 at driveways and many side streets (they are now “right in, right out” turns only). A list of the major restricted left turn movements is available on the project webpage.
