Weeki Wachee Man Killed, Brooksville Teen Seriously Injured In Pickup Collision

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 63-year-old Weeki Wachee man was killed in a crash around 6:47 pm on Saturday.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the Weeki Wachee man, driving a pickup truck, was traveling northbound on Sunshine Grove Road, approaching a stop sign at the intersection of CR-476 (Centralia Road), intending to make a left turn. 

Troopers say a 16-year-old Brooksville girl was driving a pickup truck eastbound on CR-476,

At the intersection, the Weeki Wachee man turned into the path of the second pickup truck where they collided.

Troopers say both vehicles rotated to a stop.

The Weeki Wachee man was transported to a local hospital but died from injuries suffered. The Brooksville teen suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to troopers.
