RUSKIN, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) has issued a water quality advisory for Simmons Park Beach, located at 2401 19th Ave NW, Ruskin, FL 33570.
Tests conducted on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, revealed that the water at Simmons Park Beach does not meet the state’s recreational water quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria.

As a result, DOH-Hillsborough is advising the public against participating in any water-related activities at this location due to an increased risk of illness for swimmers.
Routine water quality monitoring showed that bacteria levels exceeded the state’s established guidelines.
