TAMPA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH-Hillsborough) has issued a water quality advisory for Ben T. Davis Beach, located at 7650 W Courtney Campbell Causeway, due to elevated levels of Enterococcus bacteria.

Tests conducted on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, revealed that the water at Ben T. Davis Beach does not meet the state’s recreational water quality standards for Enterococcus bacteria. This type of bacteria can indicate fecal contamination and poses an increased risk of illness to swimmers.
