We know in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol that the Biden administration has not wanted to tell the American people who killed pro-Trump protester Ashli Babbitt, whether FBI agents were involved in stoking the flames of so-called “rebellion,” and what role a mysterious figure named Ray Epps played in facilitating the unrest.

Watchdog Group: Pelosi, Congress Seeks To Hide Jan. 6 Info

Now, according to a conservative watchdog group, the half of Congress under Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is also refusing to provide video of the alleged “insurrection.”

Accordingly, Judicial Watch is going to court to try to pry loose the comments about and footage of that fateful day.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Judicial Watch noted that Congress maintains that the “videos and emails are not public records, there is no public interest in their release, and that ‘sovereign immunity’ prevents citizens from suing for their release.”

Judicial Watch aims to overturn those claims.

Specifically, the group seeks three things.

They include emails between the U.S. Capitol Police Executive Team and the Capitol Police Board regarding security at the Capitol from Jan. 1, 2021, through January 10, 2021.

Also, Judicial Watch wants emails between the Capitol Police Board and the FBI, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security concerning the security of the Capitol over the same period.

Finally, the group demands all video footage from inside the Capitol between noon and 9 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2021.

The group noted that Congress claims it is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act, and thus should not be compelled to satisfy Judicial Watch’s request.

“The Pelosi Congress (and its police department) is telling a federal court it is immune from all transparency under law and is trying to hide every second of its January 6 videos and countless emails,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.

“The hypocrisy is rich, as this is the same Congress which is trying to jail witnesses who, citing privileges, object to providing documents to the Pelosi January 6 committee.”

Stay tuned to see what Judicial Watch uncovers.
