RIVERVIEW, Fla. – Three individuals were arrested early Sunday morning after being caught burglarizing a thrift store in Riverview.
Just after 1:00 a.m. on February 2nd, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Aviation Section responded to the Red White and Blue Thrift Store to assist deputies in locating multiple suspects seen on surveillance cameras jumping the fence.

The Aviation Section guided K9 and patrol deputies to the suspects, two of whom were hiding in the store’s recycling bin and one who was attempting to conceal himself on the ground. All three were apprehended.

“Thanks to the hard work of our air and ground units, we were able to stop these criminals,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We will continue to do everything we can to protect individuals and businesses in our community.”

The suspects were identified as Shawn Smith, 26, Joshua Hrywnak, 43, and Brock Charles, 36. Smith and Hrywnak were charged with Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure. Charles faces an additional charge of Possession of Burglary Tools.
