A NYPD detective, in broad daylight, was literally whacked in the head by a passer by.
Police say the detective was in the middle of processing the scene of a robbery when Akeele Morgan, 25, from the Bronx, smashes the detective in the head and slowly scoots away.
Caught on camera, you can hear a witness yell, “What happened, what happened?” as the Detective crouches in pain.
Police say the 25-year-old assailant was arrested soon after the unprovoked attack on the detective. Morgan was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
