More than 100 individuals suspected of being in the United States illegally were taken into federal custody early Sunday morning following a raid at an illegal after-hours nightclub in Colorado Springs, according to authorities.
WATCH:
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) released a video online showing agents outside the building announcing their presence and instructing patrons to exit with their hands raised. Additional videos captured dozens of people fleeing the premises through the entrance after federal agents forcibly breached a window. Subsequently, numerous individuals were seen in handcuffs on a nearby sidewalk awaiting transportation.
The operation comes amidst President Donald Trump’s ongoing and stringent immigration enforcement policies, which have faced legal challenges and drawn considerable debate. His administration’s crackdown has previously included the detention of over 1,000 international college students, some of whom have since had their legal status temporarily reinstated. These policies have also contributed to a significant decrease in immigration at the southern border.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) took the individuals into custody at the Colorado Springs nightclub, stated Jonathan Pullen, the special agent in charge of the DEA’s Rocky Mountain Division.
“Colorado Springs is waking up to a safer community today,” Pullen asserted. The city, the second largest in Colorado, is situated approximately 70 miles south of Denver.
According to Pullen at a news conference, the illegal nightclub had been under investigation for several months by over 300 law enforcement officers and officials from various agencies. The investigation focused on alleged activities including drug trafficking, prostitution, and violent crimes. He confirmed that cocaine was among the drugs discovered at the location.

“When the cops showed up at the door, most of the drugs hit the floor,” Pullen commented. He also indicated that an undisclosed number of firearms were seized during the raid.
President Trump shared a link to the DEA’s video of the raid on his social media platform, Truth Social, stating, “A big Raid last night on some of the worst people illegally in our Country — Drug Dealers, Murderers, and other Violent Criminals, of all shapes and sizes.”
Pullen estimated that over 200 people were inside the nightclub at the time of the raid. Among those detained were a dozen active-duty military personnel who were either patrons or working as armed security. He also noted that some patrons were arrested on undisclosed outstanding warrants.
Pullen did not disclose the nationalities of the detained immigrants.
