Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign announced Friday that it raised an impressive $310 million in July, according to multiple reports.

This significant fundraising milestone comes after President Joe Biden ended his reelection bid and endorsed Harris as the party’s new presumptive nominee. According to Politico, the campaign and affiliated committees now have $377 million in cash on hand.

The campaign has amassed over $1 billion in total as it gears up for the upcoming election, which has roughly 90 days remaining until voters head to the polls.

“This is a history-making haul for a candidate who will make history this November,” Harris campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez told Politico. “The tremendous outpouring of support we’ve seen in just a short time makes clear the Harris coalition is mobilized, growing, and ready to put in the work to defeat Trump this November.”

On July 23, Harris received a significant boost with the endorsement of more than 3,000 delegates as a wave of fellow lawmakers, donors, and political figures rallied to support her.

According to The Associated Press, Harris secured a majority of delegate support through a “virtual roll call” and electronic ballots submitted from delegates’ homes.

While the exact number of delegates has not been confirmed, Harris is expected to officially become the Democratic presidential nominee during the party’s convention in mid-August.

The Harris campaign’s announcement came a day after former President Donald Trump’s campaign revealed their July fundraising totals, which amounted to $138.7 million, with a total cash on hand of $327 million.

In recent weeks, Harris’ team has been actively fundraising through various Zoom events, targeting specific demographics with events like “White Dudes For Harris” and “Black Women for Harris.”
