Brandon Michael Reckert, 29, of Purcellville, Virginia, has been sentenced to federal prison for possessing and selling privately manufactured firearms, also known as “ghost guns,” in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
According to court documents, Reckert advertised and sold the unregistered firearms on social media platforms.
Law enforcement officials found him in possession of a privately manufactured short-barreled AR-15-style rifle that was not registered, along with numerous other firearms, parts, ammunition, and tools.
