Justin Lyn Cumbee, a 40-year-old Roanoke resident, has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison for possessing stolen firearms acquired through a drug trade. Cumbee pleaded guilty in June to one count of possession of stolen firearms.
The firearms in question were part of a larger haul of approximately 15 guns stolen from a Fairlawn, Virginia pawn shop by Ronald Perry on November 1, 2022. Perry, along with Malcolm Stanton and Michael Hall, divided the stolen firearms among themselves.

Some of these weapons eventually reached Austin Hixon, who traded three of them to Cumbee in exchange for drugs.
All individuals involved in the burglary, including Perry, Stanton, Hall, and Hixon, have been charged and are awaiting trial.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with assistance from multiple local and state law enforcement agencies.
