CITRUS COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old Vero Beach woman died after a crash around 11:55 pm on Monday in Citrus County.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling eastbound in the outside lane of Norvell Bryant Highway, west of North Forest Ridge Boulevard.
Troopers say the Vero Beach woman was walking along the adjacent sidewalk and, without warning, walked into the path of and was struck by the vehicle.

Troopers say the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the crash scene.
