The investigation began when an administrator with Sarasota County Schools contacted the SCSO Special Victims Unit (SVU) to report an email received by the Venice High School Principal.
The anonymous email detailed messages from a social media chat group that was investigated by SVU and traced to Riddick and the student.
Riddick remains in custody today on $75,000 bond per each of the three charges.
