GIBSONTON, Fla. – A 57-year-old Valrico woman has died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing an intersection in Gibsonton on Saturday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the incident occurred at approximately 8:25 PM on March 15, 2025, at the intersection of US-41 and Symmes Road.
A 44-year-old Ruskin man was driving a Ford Mustang southbound on US-41.

As he proceeded through the intersection with a green traffic signal, his vehicle collided with the female pedestrian who was walking across the north side of the intersection.
The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
