HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. – A 49-year-old Valrico man was killed in a crash that happened on Wednesday around 6:48 pm.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV was traveling eastbound on MLK Jr. Blvd., approaching Coconut Palm Drive, as the Valrico man was traveling in the same direction on an electric skateboard in the bicycle lane.
Troopers say the Valrico man entered the path of the vehicle, was subsequently struck by the Jeep Renegade, and suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
