84-Year-Old Missing Woman With Severe Dementia In Sarasota Located Safe

SARASOTA, Fla. – Ms. Arias has been located safe and returned home, according to deputies.

“She is in good health, and we sincerely appreciate the support and assistance provided by the community in locating her,” said the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.


ORIGINAL REPORT: The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is urgently requesting the public’s assistance in locating missing endangered adult, Maria Dolores Arias.

Ms. Arias, 84, was last seen on foot at approximately 3:00 p.m. on April 2, 2025, at a residence off Somerville Drive near Beneva Road in Sarasota. She suffers from severe dementia, and her disappearance poses a significant safety concern.

Due to her severe dementia, Ms. Arias may be disoriented and unable to find her way home. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is concerned for her well-being.
