MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 36-year-old Miami man’s attempt to allegedly smuggle cocaine ended with an arrest in Monroe County on Saturday night.
Antwane Fernard Anglin was stopped by the Sheriff’s Office near Mile Marker 58 on U.S. 1 at approximately 9:47 p.m.
A subsequent search reportedly revealed 29.57 grams of cocaine, exceeding an ounce, stashed in Anglin’s underwear. This discovery resulted in a felony charge of cocaine trafficking.

Anglin now faces a slew of charges, including possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender, and possession of cocaine while operating a vehicle.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
