In a significant escalation of the ongoing conflict, Ukraine launched a missile strike against a Russian military facility located deep within Russian territory. The attack, which coincided with the 1,000th day of the war, marks the first confirmed use of U.S.-supplied ATACMS missiles by Ukrainian forces.

Russia claims to have intercepted five of the six missiles fired at the facility in the Bryansk region, while debris from one missile struck the target without causing casualties or significant damage.

Ukraine confirmed the strike on an arms depot approximately 70 miles inside Russia, reporting secondary explosions but declining to specify the type of weapon used.

This development marks a turning point in the conflict, as Ukraine demonstrates its increased capacity to strike targets within Russia. The use of ATACMS missiles, with their longer range and precision, could significantly impact the battlefield and further escalate tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
