The United States government has announced a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Yulan Adonay Archaga Carías, also known as “Porky” and “Alexander Mendoza,” the leader of MS-13 in Honduras.

The reward is offered under the Transnational Organized Crime Rewards Program (TOCRP) as part of intensified efforts to combat the violent transnational gang following its designation as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) on February 20, 2025.

The designation of Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) is a shift by the U.S. government, aiming to utilize all available resources to dismantle the organization and counter its criminal activities that plague the Western Hemisphere.

Archaga Carías is identified as the highest-ranking MS-13 member in Honduras and is held responsible for directing a wide array of criminal operations.

These activities include drug trafficking, money laundering, murder, kidnappings, and other violent crimes often involving the use of machine guns. He is also specifically implicated in the importation of significant quantities of cocaine into the United States. Despite intensive efforts, Archaga Carías currently remains at large.

His prominence in the criminal underworld is underscored by his inclusion on several high-profile fugitive lists. Archaga Carías is currently one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives, as well as a most wanted fugitive by both the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
