LAKELAND, Fla. – On Friday, November 13, 2020, the U.S. Marshals Service Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) arrested a fugitive from justice in Polk County.
According to the information received from New York, 22-year-old Raymond Jackson (DOB 6/16/98) was indicted for second-degree murder by the Queens District Attorney’s Office, for fatally shooting a man in a dispute over vehicle repairs in September. According to the NYPD, Jackson fled to Florida after his mother’s arrest in N.Y. for her participation in that crime.
The Marshals task force received information that he was at a friend’s house on West Cordova Circle in Lakeland, and they took him into custody there without incident. Jackson was booked into the Polk County Jail, where he is being held until being transferred to New York.
