Two Men Shot After Altercation Overnight In St. Pete

ST. PETERSBURG, FL. – Police in St. Petersburg are investigating an overnight shooting after an altercation just after midnight.

Police say that two men got into an altercation and were shot in the vicinity of Jimmy’s Sports Bar in the 3500 block of 34th Street North shortly after midnight.

Both men arrived separately and on their own at the same hospital for treatment of their wounds.

One was transported by ambulance to a nearby trauma center, the other was airlifted to an area trauma hospital. Both men were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Detectives are investigating and will determine whether charges will be filed.
