PASCO COUNTY, FL. – Two people were killed and three others injured in a crash that happened on State Route 52 on Tuesday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, a car driven by a 62-year-old Hudson woman was traveling eastbound on SR-52 while an SUV was traveling westbound, both approaching the intersection of Cobblestone Drive.
Troopers say a second SUV was traveling southbound on Cobblestone Drive and was stopped at the intersection of SR-52.
At the intersection, the Hudson woman turned left into the path of the first SUV which collided with the right side of her car.
Troopers say the SUV then rotated and collided with the rear of the second SUV which was turning right onto SR-52.
The car rotated to a stop along the north shoulder of the highway with the Hudson woman and her male passenger, a 54-year-old man from New Port Richey, suffering fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
