Two Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Tampa On N 50th Street

TAMPA, Fla. – Two men were killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Tampa.

The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m. on North 50th Street near East Busch Boulevard. Tampa Police officers arrived to find a black 2007 Honda Fit that had crashed into a wall near an apartment complex.

The driver, a 29-year-old white male, and the passenger, a 32-year-old black male, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined that the vehicle was traveling southbound on North 50th Street when it veered off the road and collided with several objects before crashing into the wall. Neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and speed is believed to be a factor.
