Deputies in Florida are searching for two men in a white van that attempted to coerce a 12-year-old girl to come towards their van.
Deputies say on August 24, 2021, around 5:30 p.m., the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) was notified of the suspicious incident near the corner of SW 136th Court and SW 114th Place, in Dunnellon.
MCSO was advised that a 12-year-old arrived at her bus stop and a white work van was driving nearby.
The occupants of the van, one white male and one Hispanic male, called out to the juvenile in an attempt to have her approach the van.
The juvenile immediately fled back to the school bus and notified the bus driver. Law enforcement was contacted and a search of the area was conducted.
Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle or either of the individuals described.
The video below depicts the time shortly after the incident occurred and she ran back to her bus.
The van can be seen passing the bus on the right side of the screen. Deputies are continuing to monitor the area searching for the white work van.
“We need your help! If you have any information that can help us locate this van or the two individuals inside, please call 352-732-9111.
