Two Florida Men Hit $1,000,000 Each Playing Mega Millions Lottery Draw Game

PASCO COUNTY WOMAN WINS A MERRY $1 MILLION PLAYING MEGA MILLIONS®

Today, the Florida Lottery announced that David Messer, 51, of Golden Oak, and Stephen Shields, 60, of Jacksonville, each claimed a $1 million prize from the MEGA MILLIONS Draw game at the Lottery’s Orlando and Jacksonville District Offices.

The winning tickets matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Mega Ball number.

Messer purchased his $1 million winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket for the April 12, 2022, drawing at Rebel, located at 7900 World Center Drive in Orlando.

Shields purchased his $1 million winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket for the April 22, 2022, drawing at San Jose Food Mart, located at 11150 San Jose Boulevard in Jacksonville.

The retailers will each receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning MEGA MILLIONS ticket.

Since joining MEGA MILLIONS in 2013, the game has generated more than $786 million for education and has awarded more than $782.9 million in prizes to 61.9 million players. The next MEGA MILLIONS drawing will be held Friday, May 13, at 11:00 p.m. ET with an estimated $99 million jackpot.
