Two Florida men are millionaires after lucky scratch-off tickets they purchased from the Florida Lottery turned out to be top prizes.
The Florida Lottery announced that Jose Serrano, of Auburndale, and Leroy Brundidge, of Tampa each claimed top prizes playing the X THE CASH Scratch-Off games.
Serrano claimed a $5 million top prize playing the 200X THE CASH Scratch-Off game and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $4,450,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from Shell of Vero Beach, located at 9520 20th Street in Vero Beach. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the $5 million-winning Scratch-Off ticket.
Brundidge claimed a $1 million top prize playing the 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off game and chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $890,000.00. He purchased his winning ticket from 7-Eleven, located at 7401 East Broadway Avenue in Tampa. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the $1 million-winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $20 game, 200X THE CASH, launched in September 2020 and features more than $446 million in cash prizes, including ten top prizes of $5 million! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.96.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2019-20.
