HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Firefighters battled a two-alarm brush fire that engulfed multiple structures near US 41 between Gibsonton and Apollo Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) responded to the scene around 12:30 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting the blaze. Upon arrival, crews found several aluminum structures engulfed in flames and immediately upgraded the fire to a two-alarm response due to its size and intensity.

Firefighters worked to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading further. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
