Rep. Lauren Boebert was mocked on Twitter after she wrote a tweet appearing to insult President Joe Biden with bad math. Or maybe not.
“Two Words: Let’s Go Brandon!” Boebert tweeted, using the phrase made famous by an NBC reporter.
The phrase created in early October 2021, when Brandon Brown raced to his first career victory at Talladega Superspeedway. As he was being interviewed by an NBC Sports reporter afterward, the crowd in the background audibly chanted “F–k Joe Biden.”
The reporter, either from failure to pay attention or willful ignorance based on personal politics, asserted the fans were chanting “Let’s go Brandon.”
Boebert’s tweet on Saturday has amassed nearly 80,000 likes and 36,000 comments, with some mocking Boebert for using saying the phrase is two words as opposed to three.
“BREAKING: Lauren Boebert just completely humiliated herself, tweeting ‘Two Words: Let’s Go Brandon,'” tweeted Jon Cooper, the former National Finance Chair of Draft Biden 2016. “That’s THREE words. She’s such a friggin’ moron!”
Actor George Takei wrote: “She can’t…count.”
The problem for the pundits, they obviously missed the joke, and have criticized the current president simultaneously.
On Friday, President Biden delivered remarks during a visit to a Volvo facility in Hagerstown, Maryland, “Let me start off with two words: Made in America,” Biden said. “Made in America.”
