For Democrats in Florida, Charlie Crist may embody their great hope to rid the state of the terror of the DeSantis regime.
Yet for Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, Crist represents something more ominous:
The end of men.
That also happens to be the name of a new documentary Carlson released last month. In “The End of Men” project, he explored how certain chemicals are adversely affecting testosterone levels and the reproductive capabilities of American men — and no one seems to care.
In a segment Wednesday night, which was circulated by the Twitter account DeSantis War Room, which supports incumbent Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis, Carlson highlighted Crist as emblematic of the beta male phenomenon rising among men.
Carlson said his film discussed the “increasing weakness and uselessness” and “lack of meaning and purpose in the lives of many men.”
“Here’s Charlie Crist kinda summing it up for us,” Carlson said.
He featured a photo of Crist riding an exercise machine in a gym — by himself and wearing a mask.
Carlson also pointed out that Crist was wearing pink headphones, flip-flops, and cargo shorts.
“Have you ever seen a man wearing a mask on a machine?” said Carlson. “This seems like mental illness to us. But we’re not clinical psychiatrists, so we couldn’t actually make that diagnosis.”
“So we reached out to @CharlieCrist’s office and asked, ‘What exactly were you doing with a mask on, alone in the gym, you freak?” Carlson said.
“And weirdly, they didn’t respond.”
Perhaps it’s not surprising, since Crist has said if he’s elected governor he’s open to making all Floridians wear masks if the “scientists” tell him that’s what’s needed.
